Andrew Nicholas Souchik
About me
I'm Andrew Souchik. I grew up as an army brat but not an army brat. I would be classified as a DOD civilian brat. My father worked for 43 years in government services which allowed us to travel all around the world, primarily in Europe, and gain amazing insight from different cultures. Home was in North East Pennsylvania until I was five years old then we moved to Germany and stayed there for approximately five years. We lived in several different places in Germany during this time. We then moved back to Pennsylvania until I was sixteen and a half years old, and then we moved to Belgium. I lived there for approximately two to three years where I graduated high school from Shape American High School. I decided to take some time off between high school and college and moved back to the United States for a short stint to find out who I was. I eventually moved back with my parents to Germany, but ended up in Albany, Georgia. I was accepted in to Valdosta State University. I lived in Valdosta, Georgia from 2006 until 2017. While in Valdosta I earned my Bachelors Degree in 2011 and started my career in government services with the Transportation Security Administration in 2009. I met my wife, Lori, we got engaged and I moved to Tallahassee.Florida in 2017. We got married in 2018. I realized that it was time for my career to take on new challenges in order to advance. I started transitioning into the private sector and worked with UPS while continuing to work with TSA and eventually made a career shift to UPS full-time. I worked hard and showed my work ethic and advanced quickly. I worked as a driver for a year and then was promoted to an On Road Supervisor. I worked tirelessly for UPS and realized that I was living just to work. My work-life balance was virtually non existent. I decided that my career needed to take a different path that would provide me a better opportunity to have a true work-life balance. I finally decided that I would try selling life insurance. I obtained my license in four different states to get a really good feel about the life insurance industry. I am going to continue to sell life insurance on the side, but now I'm looking for another stable position with has the ability to teach me new skills and advance my career further. Since I've made the career transition to insurance I started employment with the state of Florida in the Department of Economic Opportunity. I'm open to new positions to learn new skills.
